New Trailer! Die, Develkok, Die!
There is one project in the world of ultra low-budget, DIY filmmaking that has caught my attention and kept my curiosity thirsting for more, and that is Mike Dobrzelecki’s exploitation flick DIE, DEVELKOK, DIE!
Dobrzelecki, who I have come to know because of his writings on The Blood Sprayer and his Tumblr Fat and Bad at Sports, has always impressed me with his love and enthusiasm for genre art. I would be remiss to accuse filmmakers of the lack of passion for their projects, but Mike’s stands out because it also includes undeniable creativity, comic book sensibilities, wild and manic characters, colorful costumes, and a deep and dirty southern atmosphere that I just love.
